Banyalbufar

On the road from Andratx to Valldemossa and a serpentine road we find the village with his Banyalbufar only 627 inhabitants. It is up to the mountain slopes of the Tramuntana Mountains. Only one way on a winding mountain road to the village along with the sometimes yawning chasms Tramuntanaküste.

History

The inhabitants of Banyalbufar lived exclusively on agriculture. They built wheat, barley, legumes, olives, flax, hemp, saffron and wine in particular. The local Malvasiertraube was highly appreciated. Already in the early Middle Ages was grown in Banyalbufar the famous Malvasia wine.
